Yazdani is a Bakery restaurant in Mumbai (Fort), $; currently temporarily closed.
Yazdani Bakery is a 1953 Irani bakery in Fort serving fresh-baked bread, maska (buttered bun) and irani chai. Run by the same family since 1953 out of a heritage building near Kala Ghoda, Yazdani Bakery is one of Mumbai's last surviving Irani cafe-bakeries, still baking its own bread on-site in wood-fired ovens. Regulars come for the brun maska and irani chai combination, along with mawa cakes and khari biscuits, seated at the cafe's worn wooden tables. Its old-world interior of faded photographs and marble-top tables has changed little in decades.
